Yamagata Prefecture Historic Building Renovation Completed with Synthetic Thatch Roofing

Our authorized Japanese dealer has successfully completed a heritage restoration project in Yamagata Prefecture, replacing decayed and fallen natural thatch on traditional structures with our premium synthetic straw roof tiles.

The 373-square-meter roof installation utilized 6,000 to 7,000 pieces of our standard 50x50cm synthetic thatch tiles, complemented by specialized eaves tiles and accessories. The construction process proceeded smoothly, with our interlocking tile system ensuring precise alignment and secure fastening throughout the curved roof surfaces.

The completed roof presents a remarkably smooth, uniform appearance that surpasses traditional natural thatch in aesthetic consistency and durability. Unlike organic materials vulnerable to rot and weathering, our synthetic solution offers decades of maintenance-free performance while preserving authentic Japanese architectural character.
