Steps for building a tiki bar and the thatched roof:
1. Do carefully measuring.
2. Ask your architect to your tiki bar or tiki hut style and decide whether you need a wall for your tiki bar or not
3. Construct the base of the tiki bar using wood, cement, nails, etc. Make sure the bottom of the tiki bar is strong.
4. At the stage of the tiki bar roof building:
• According to your area's temperature, and your aesthetic evaluation, decide which type of synthetic thatch roofing to use.
• If what you choose is waterproof palm thatch roof, there is no special request for the tiki bar roof bottom. Wooden battens as rafters are okay.
• If what you choose is not waterproof synthetic thatch. It is better to use plywood as the bottom of the tiki bar roof, and then install waterproof fabric or asphalt waterproof membrane on it to avoid water leakage.
• Install the synthetic thatch roof then.
• For the non-waterproof thatched roof, as the bottom is plywood. To make the ceiling looks better, could install synthetic bamboo woven ceiling panel for decoration.
