Synthetic thatch roofing classification by craftsmanship:

There are two production craftsmanship of synthetic thatch roofing.

1) Woven synthetic thatch roofing

Regular synthetic thatch roofing is weaved by synthetic thatch strips. Synthetic thatch strips are produced with synthetic resin, and mixed with some necessary additives to make sure they could work stably in outdoor environment. Depends on the project's local weather situation and clients' request for the looking, different additives will be put for production.

After the synthetic thatch strips are produced, then workers will weave them into a synthetic thatch panel.

2) Molded synthetic thatch roofing

Synthetic palm thatch roofing or synthetic viva palm thatch roofing are the two main types of molded synthetic thatch roofing in the market. They are made with mold. Synthetic palm thatch is also called synthetic palmex thatch roof. Synthetic palmex thatch's manufacturing craftsmanship is different from regular synthetic thatch roofing.

Synthetic palm thatch's materials are HDPE panel. HDPE panel need to add UV proof additives etc to make sure they could suit the application under strong sunshine and hot environment. After HDPE panel is produced, and then material need processing of blistering and then cut to the shape that is designed.

Synthetic thatch roofing classification by product looking:

According to the product looking, synthetic thatch roofing could be divided into below types:

1) Artificial palm thatch roofing

2) Synthetic reed leaf thatch roofing

3) Synthetic cape reed thatch roofing

Synthetic thatch roofing classification by materials:

1) PE thatch roofing

They are made with LDPE materials.

2) HDPE thatch roofing

Synthetic palmex thatch roofing is made with HDPE materials.

3) Nylon thatch roofing

Nylon thatch roofing is very durable in tropical countries, with weather of strong sunshine, very hot temperature and high humidity.

4) PVC thatch roofing

PVC thatch roofing is rigid looking at first. But later it will become soft, so the looking is not very beautiful after used for some time.

5) PP thatch roofing

PP thatch roofing is more economic than other materials. Its disadvantage is it is not very durable for outdoor use.

1) Fireproof thatch roofing

PE thatch is not easy to reach very good fireproof performance. As PP thatch roofing is similar to PE thatch roofing, so in the market, some companies use PP material instead of PE material. It will cause the reduction of lifespan of synthetic thatch roofing.

# HDPE thatch roofing

For nylon thatch, the fireproof is stable too.

# PP thatch roofing

PP thatch roofing has good fireproof, but short lifespan.

# PVC thatch roofing

2) Non-fireproof thatch roofing

Synthetic thatch roofing classification by waterproof or not:

1) Waterproof synthetic thatch roofing

Only the synthetic palmex thatch roofing is waterproof. Normally 8-12 pieces are used for 1 square meter roofing area to make sure the waterproof.

2) Non-waterproof synthetic thatch roofing

The other models are non-waterproof. They would need waterproof fabric on the roof bottom for waterproof purpose.
